At AIRE, we believe performance starts within.

Elite performance is not only built through physical training. It is shaped by how well the nervous system adapts, recovers, and responds to stress.

AIRE is the breathwork partner for elite athletes. We develop science-based breathing protocols that help athletes regulate their nervous system, recover faster, and stay mentally resilient under pressure.

By combining wearable data, athlete feedback, and applied performance science, AIRE turns breathwork into a practical training tool that fits seamlessly into daily routines.

Our mission is to make regulation measurable, trainable, and scalable so athletes can perform at their highest level, consistently and sustainably.

What is the purpose?

Breathwork is used to:

  • Improve physical performance

  • Regulate stress and emotions

  • Support recovery

  • Improve focus and mental clarity

  • Retrain unhealthy breathing patterns

Why do we do it?

Because breathing directly affects the nervous system.
Slow, controlled breathing can calm the body, lower heart rate, and reduce stress.
Stronger or faster breathing patterns can increase alertness and energy.

By changing your breath, you can quickly change your physical and mental state.

How does it work?

Breathwork influences:

  • Oxygen and carbon dioxide balance

  • Heart rate variability

  • Nervous system regulation (sympathetic vs. parasympathetic)

  • Muscle tension and relaxation

Training your breath also improves diaphragm function and breathing efficiency.

How do you practice it?

It depends on the goal:

  • For relaxation: slow nasal breathing, long exhales

  • For focus/energy: slightly faster, rhythmic breathing

  • For performance: breath control drills, CO₂ tolerance training

  • For retraining: diaphragmatic breathing, nasal breathing awareness

Breathwork is simple — but powerful — because breathing is the only automatic body function you can consciously control.
